DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
EXCITING is the perfect word to describe this new opportunity. This will be the FIRST hired DBA for the team here in Sofia, Bulgaria. You will be the key person in this position and will be responsible for the design, building, and implementation of new databases. Your responsibilities will include minimizing database downtime, monitoring database performance, implementing changes, and troubleshooting potential problems that affect databases' functionality and related programs. This is an excellent challenge for a person with big dreams and ambitions!
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator;
- Hands-on experience with one of the following databases - PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server;
- Deep understanding of backup, recovery, and database tuning;
- Good knowledge of ANSI SQL;
- Very good command of English (both written and verbal).
Any of the following will be considered a great plus:
- Previous experience with timescaleDB and pl/pgSQL;
- Knowledge of scripting programming languages (e.g., Perl, Shell, Bash).
